We’re on the airplane to Bermuda now. We were planning on a nonstop flight to Grenada, but it turns out that the Trinidad Soccer team needs a ride home so we’re going to pick them up on our way. We had a great stay in NYC with M and D. Lots of highlights, from a great send-off breakfast with Carla, a great send-off dinner with M last night at the Chelsea Grill and a great send-off breakfast at the DM Hotel with banana waffles and French toast this morning to sunset on the roof at the standard, a tour of the Hudson, essential shopping on Canal St., and mostly just taking in everything. Our flight lands at 830pm EST at which time we expect to start doing much more relaxing and much less of other things.

hi people. just in case you were annoyed with all the pretty pictures and everything looking like it was going perfectly… let me tell you that packing and mostly preparing for packing sucks. o yay, lets go to walgreens every day for 6 days, ’cause they can only fill one month of a malaria prescription at a time and i hope you don’t mind waiting for 1 hour while we deal with our other customers. try the household items aisle, it’s great. o wait.. my headlamp is buried at the back of storage, that will be a great place for it this year. see? it’s not all roses and dandelions all the time.

Saturday was beautiful in Golden Gate Park with lots of great friends and some nice background music too. After the music we went back to Dan and Kathlyn’s for an equally excellent BBQ and more fun. It was great. It was sad to say goodbye to some of our favorite people, but maybe they’ll visit… Also we had a great goodbye dinner with Fasih and Sarah and Zoe and a delicious goodbye breakfast with Aunt Jo. Feeling lucky to have so many great people in our lives.

The TVG was great. Jake, Pavi and Jarod M. won the 3-3 basketball. Sung Bae Park won the 3 Point Shoot-out and Gabe won the pool tournament. Fun was had by all as far as I could tell.

Sunday we played a great round of F-golf with Bob, Roy, Linda Tara, Ken and Willa. The light was amazing with the fog just below and the sun setting.

Domino got to meet her long lost brother Yogi. They were very similar and liked each other very much. Yogi taught Domino to jump into the water.

The weather was beautiful all day. We had burgers and free fries from the Park Side before catching the bus back home. A great last day for KTW. Now feeling a bit sad that all our friends are heading home. We’ll miss you.
